Rivercourt is a charity
Rivercourt Methodist Church became a registered Charity in 2017 (Registration number: 1174328). Being a Charity allows Rivercourt to benefit from schemes which help the Church’s financial position. This allows the Church to carry out further work in the community, and support the work that community partners do on the Rivercourt premises.

Trustees
As a Charity Rivercourt Methodist Church operates with a board of Trustees. The board consists of 9 Trustees and is chaired by the minister, Rev. Iesinga Vunipola. The other Trustees are all active members of the Church.
Full details of the Charity registration for Rivercourt Methodist Church, including the statutory accounts that are submitted to the Charity Commission, are available on the Government website.

Income
Rivercourt Methodist Church is an old building that requires a lot of maintenance. The large spaces are a challenge to heat and light. The basement area is also a challenge to keep water-tight and clean.
Our main source of income is from the lettings we are able to accommodate through the year.
We are pleased to have a long-term tenant in the church basement, with whom we have had a relationship since 1997.
We also have some regular users who hire out other spaces in the building.
Other income comes from our membership, mainly in the form of weekly collections which form part of the church services.
We also benefit occasionally from donations from benefactors who wish to help with the maintenance of the building and/or give financial support to projects supporting the local community, e.g. our homelessness project.

Donate
Rivercourt receives donations from church members mainly in the form of Sunday collections. From time to time we receive donations from other members of the public. Sometimes these are to support specific projects, like the work with homeless people. Other donations are used to help with the maintenance of the church building.
If you would like to make a donation to Rivercourt, please contact the church office for further details, or send a cheque to the church address.
Please make any cheques payable to Rivercourt Methodist Church.
Thank you for your generosity.

Gift Aid
As a registered charity Rivercourt is able to benefit from the Gift Aid scheme.
Through the Gift Aid scheme registered charities can claim an extra 25% - that is 25p for every £1 donated - at no extra cost to the giver. A donation of £20 can be worth £25 to the charity.
At Rivercourt we are able to use Gift Aid to boost the donations we receive from our membership and other generous donors. This helps to pay for the upkeep of the building.
If you would like to make a donation to Rivercourt and wish to Gift Aid your donation then please send your name and address to the church office so we can send you a Gift Aid form.

Please contact the church office for more information.
